ELLO's first community partnership was with Grocery Outlet in Airway Heights, Washington. Grocery stores are full of everyday language and literacy opportunities. Throughout the store Ello the eagle and his northwest friends promote thematically tailored conversation starters about produce, shapes, signs, and much more! Displays also feature content for the everyday shopper on the importance of investing in early childhood. Students from Eastern Washington University Visual Communication Design program supported the aesthetic development of the visuals.
